Interesting tidbit on one existing for fee wifi service going to a advertising based model
Long term its clear to me the $10/month access model for airports and coffee houses is not sustainable. Particularly as advertising models and 4G cellular (for those willing to pay) emerge. ~But~ there are a bunch of pay for access hotspots out there. It is more work to pick them up and turn them off than moving to another model advertising or even FON based.
So is this the tip of the iceberg of for fee going to for free?
