Meditation and cognitive tasks

This is even further off the path here than usual but I can’t help bringing it up somewhere.

As a self taught meditator this rings extremely true with me.

Days in which I can successfully set aside a few minutes I am both happier and more effective in my work and particularly as a parent. And this is with extremely minimal training. Basically reading and listening.

Actually exercise has a similar positive effect clearing my mind and making me better able to accomplish things.
I wonder if they are measurably related.

I need to figure out how to find more time for it for myself as well as how to help others discover it.
