Book DRM evaporating?

I have been reading about the whole DOJ Apple/Publisher lawsuit and the overall market situation with Amazon for some time.  It is certainly interesting from a market/monopoly perspective as the DOJ is attacking the group forming to break Amazons Monopoly (or really monopsony).

But the fact that while that is going on one of the publishers responds by taking DRM off their books (a good move, sales are stopped by friction, not piracy) shows how dynamic and interesting this could really get.  I really hope other publishers follow this move and someone beats Amazon not by more price fixing, or even lower prices (though that would be nice) but by a better user experience!
